TV Shows - Deal Or No Deal

Deal or No Deal is the name of several closely related television game shows, the first of which (launching the format) was produced by Dutch producer Endemol. It is played with up to 26 cases (or in some versions, boxes) with certain sums of money. The Player chooses a case or a box to knock an amount of money off the board. The Americal version is hosted by Howie Mandel.

1 The concept is OK but he does stretch it out a bit. Just how long does it take to open up 25 brief cases? You or I could do it in 2 minutes. It takes Howie 2 hours. NO DEAL! -- Submitted By: (JoeBagODonuts) on March 1, 2012, 7:10 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
2 Goes to commercial too often, too much time is taken up with small talk between Howie and the contestant (as well as the call from the "banker"), and most contestants fail to follow the advice laid out by the chorus of "The Gambler" by Kenny Rogers (in a nutshell, most of them are too greedy and/or clueless). -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on October 9, 2010, 3:26 pm - (2 votes) - Login to Vote
3 This show ranks as the absolute, all time, worst excuse for a game show ever to befoul the air waves. They could bring out a chimpanzee to point at the cases and he would have the same chance of winning as any of the human contestants. The entire game could be played in two minutes if they didn't have the vacuous Mr Mandel explaining the "rules" every other breath; not to mention that idiotic cell phone to the "banker". And why do the people opening the cases get so worked up over whether the contestant wins or not? Do they get a piece of the action? I can honestly state that in over fifty years of watching television I have never seen anything as abysmal, as mindless, as infuriatingly stupid, as "Deal or No Deal". -- Submitted By: (jgf) on October 9, 2010, 1:35 am - (3 votes) - Login to Vote
4 Day freakin' one. This show is absolutely awful and the pinnacle of the collapse of NBC and the sharp decline of network television. It's all mindless luck, the contestants are annoying, the models are cheap eye candy, there are way too many commercials and it's solid proof that Howie Mandel has not done anything worth while since he left St. Elsewhere in 1986. -- Submitted By: (kingbk) on May 10, 2010, 8:59 pm - (3 votes) - Login to Vote
5 How sad that women (all with implants, no less) are still objectified this way. That cloying, mindless, "Hi, Howie"... :::shudder::: -- Submitted By: (lojo) on April 30, 2010, 7:44 am - (2 votes) - Login to Vote
6 It's a freaking guessing game. All luck. Sucks! -- Submitted By: (fletch000) on February 7, 2010, 1:46 pm - (2 votes) - Login to Vote
