Movie Series - Oh, God!

Oh, God! was a 1977 comedy film based on the novel by Avery Corman, which starred George Burns as God and John Denver as Jerry Landers. God selects the assistant supermarket manager Jerry to spread his message, but Jerry finds his life turned upside-down. Oh, God! Book 2 was released in 1980. George Burns reprises his role as God, and this time, he recruits a young girl named Tracy Richards to spread his message. Oh, God! You Devil was released in 1984, and though George Burns again reprises his role as God, he also plays the dual role of Satan (in the form of Harry O. Tophet). The third movie took on a darker tone than the first two.

Oh, God! Comments (You must Login to Comment)

1 Oh God Book 2 was really juvenile stuff. John Denver and Terri Garr were likeable characters in the 1st movie that you actually cared about. In the 2nd film, they're replaced by some snot-nosed kids, led by a child of impending divorce. Overly contrived quasi-Home Alone type stuff. The 2nd sequel with Ted Wass was an improvement. -- Submitted By: (ParkerTillman) on July 30, 2012, 2:53 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
