Movie Series - Honey, I Shrunk the Kids
Honey, I Shrunk the Kids was a 1989 comedy movie starring Rick Moranis. He plays Wayne Szalinski, a "nutty professor" trying to invent a machine that can shrink objects. Instead, it makes them explode. When his neighbor's kid sends a baseball into the window of the attic, it activates the machine and makes it shrink objects instead of blow them up. When the neighbor's kids and the Szalinski kids go to get the ball, the machine shrinks them as well. When Wayne returns to the attic, he trashes the machine, thinking it does not work, then cleans up the mess, unaware that he has thrown the kids out along with the garbage. To get home, the children must venture through the lawn, which is now more like a forest to them. Honey, I Blew Up the Kid was released in 1992. This time, Wayne is working on a machine that enlarges objects, which zaps his son Adam, who slowly turns into a giant with each contact with an electrical power source (such as the TV). Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves was the 1997 direct-to-video release. This time, the parents are shrunk down to size.

The fish was missing bits of its skin for Honey, I Blew Up the Kid. Keri Russell was very beautiful in that flick. Yeah, it boned with the third movie. I can tolerate the second one. -- Submitted By: (tvwatcher7) on September 13, 2014, 6:52 pm - (0 votes)

Well, if you ask me, Honey We Shrunk Ourselves wasn't horrible, at least for a straight-to-video movie. -- Submitted By: (cartooner) on November 8, 2010, 12:01 am - (0 votes)

Honey, I Shrunk the Kids was pretty good. Honey, I Blew Up the Kid...not quite as good. The direct-to-DVD sequel, Honey We Shrunk Ourselves...almost nothing great about it. It was nowhere near as good as the first two. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on November 7, 2010, 8:27 am - (0 votes)
