A mood ring is a ring invented in the late 1960s by Marvin Wernick which contains a thermochromic element that changes color in response to the body temperature of its wearer. The color is said, by some proponents, to indicate the emotional state of the wearer.

1 I wasn't born when mood rings first came out, but I did see several revivals in my childhood. As for the Mixed Emotions boning reason, that color is green, at least according to the Mood Rings chart at my local 7-11. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on June 7, 2011, 11:33 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
