Alfred Matthew "Weird Al" Yankovic is an American singer-songwriter, music producer, actor, comedian, and satirist. 1 Parker, I recall that 'Hey Ricky!' vid! It was awesome and a good tribute that Lucy herself loved. What Desi's opinion was of it, I've never heard, though. Overall, Weird Al's never boned- if for no other reason that SOMEone needs to bring some humor into rock via the spoofs! -- Submitted By: (Pelirojo) on July 31, 2012, 10:07 am - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
I kid you not, I had an English Lit. professor in college who praised Wierd Al to the sky. He said, and he was being completely serious, that Wierd Al Yankovich was truly a lyrical genius- a truly gifted songwriter. He went on to give us a convincing lecture with examples and technical explanations to back up his opinion and, frankly, I was sold. :) -- Submitted By: (Friedrich_Feuerstein) on July 27, 2012, 2:03 pm - (3 votes) - Login to Vote
The only reason Weird Al's not as popular now is because being creative, funny and clever isn't as popular now. He didn't bone, the media consuming public did. (BTW my mom absolutely loves "White And Nerdy".) -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on July 27, 2012, 3:54 am - (2 votes) - Login to Vote
First off, the guy doesn't age. He looks exactly the same as he did from the 80s. Secondly, he's got a great mix of clever, funny, and creative lyrics that almost always make you smile and laugh. He might not be as popular as he was in the 80s-90s, but he still puts out some very humorous stuff. Never boned. -- Submitted By: (kingbk) on July 26, 2012, 10:55 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
"Hey Ricky", a parody of "Hey Mickey" with an "I Love Lucy" theme, was a side-splittingly funny tune, and video. Weird Al's Ricky Ricardo is spot on! This was done just before he "broke through" with "Eat It". -- Submitted By: (ParkerTillman) on July 25, 2012, 4:11 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Never, EVER boned. One of his songs years back (Amish Paradise) was so huge in this area (Lancaster, PA), that one radio DJ got tired of people requesting it, and played the song nonstop for his radio shift, just so people could get tired of it. -- Submitted By: (PYLrulz) on January 3, 2012, 4:18 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
A Weird Al show is very entertaining. He has several costume changes, including the fat suit he wears during "Fat." He even comes into the audience during one song. I can't wait for his next album and he's suppose to make fun of Lady Gaga, so expect "Polka Face" to be on it, or maybe a parody of Queen's "Radio Gaga." -- Submitted By: (JayD) on July 21, 2010, 10:45 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
Saw him in concert July 20th...he's as good as ever, if not better! I'm thinking of a certain four-letter word right now, and anybody who says Weird Al sucked from the start is full of said four-letter word. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on July 21, 2010, 12:09 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Anyone who thinks that Weird Al sucked from the start needs to be severely beaten about the face, neck and shoulders with a metal pipe. -- Submitted By: (BrianBuck) on July 19, 2010, 7:47 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
Weird Al looks weird without his mustache, glasses, and 'do, but IMHO, he's never boned. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on April 14, 2010, 7:20 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
Never boned - and being a husband and father sure hasn't slowed down the Weird One's propensity for musical craziness. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on April 14, 2010, 1:19 pm - (3 votes) - Login to Vote
If Elvis is the King of Rock 'n' Roll, Weird Al Yankovic is the Court Jester. He is both musical and comic genius in every sense of the word. His live shows are astounding. At one point during his show he even parodies himself. Brilliant, absolutely brilliant. -- Submitted By: (BrianBuck) on December 3, 2009, 7:20 pm - (2 votes) - Login to Vote
