TV Shows - Bosom Buddies

Bosom Buddies was an sitcom which ran from 1980 to 1982 on ABC. The premise was two men disguise themselves as women in order to live in the women-only Susan B. Anthony Hotel, after their own apartment is demolished, because of the dirt cheap rent. Kip Wilson (Tom Hanks) is originally skeptical of the plan, but after meeting knock-out resident model/dancer/nurse Sonny Lumet (Donna Dixon), he ends up convincing aspiring writer Henry Desmond (Peter Scolari) that the experience will make a great book.

1 The big question is what does Tom Hanks find more embarrassing. Mazes and Monsters or this. -- Submitted By: (chemistryguy) on March 17, 2013, 8:36 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
2 I voted "Never Boned", but ABC boned for it. The network was this show's biggest problem. Cancelled, resurrected and moved around the schedule more than once. By the time it was brought back for the last time, I think the writers had the guys "out" themselves just to change things up and have Kip and Sunny take the next step in their relationship, but like people pointed out, the tension was gone. I think the whole thing was rushed because the writers were walking on eggshells, waiting for ABC to pull the carpet out from under them...AGAIN....which of course they did. At the end of the day, Bosom Buddies was a good show that was handled poorly by the network. The "Mountain Pine" episode with guest Russel Johnson (The Professor) was a classic! -- Submitted By: (ParkerTillman) on September 11, 2012, 3:47 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
3 This show would never had worked without its two stars...yes, I said two, Peter Scolari rocked. -- Submitted By: (jonkaplanseaver) on May 8, 2011, 6:03 pm - (2 votes) - Login to Vote
4 who would BELIEVE these two were women? did they interact with only the blind? -- Submitted By: (VeritechRyan) on October 20, 2010, 12:43 am - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
5 Honestly, could either of those guys have passed as women anywhere except on this idiotic show? That ruined the entire concept for me. -- Submitted By: (jgf) on October 9, 2010, 1:25 am - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
6 It was actually a great deal funnier when they WEREN'T in drag. Oddly enough, I thought Peter Scholari would become a bigger star than Tom Hanks. LOL -- Submitted By: (Pelirojo) on February 12, 2010, 11:29 am - (2 votes) - Login to Vote
