1 Just one of those movies (or in this case, movie series) that was dumb, but just so flat out hilarious. Even for as many movies this pumped out, it was one of those where you know you were going to get a good laugh or two. Never Boned. -- Submitted By: (PYLrulz) on November 28, 2011, 1:56 am - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
2 I really enjoyed Ernest Goes To Camp (fighting back against the miners was so epic!), Ernest Goes to Jail was pretty good, I enjoy Ernest Saves Christmas and Ernest Scared Stupid. Ernest Rides Again was meh at best. Haven't seen Ernest Goes To School, but those that came after that (Slam Dunk Ernest, Ernest Goes To Africa, and Ernest In the Army)...it's no wonder why they were direct-to-DVD. All the same, Jim Varney will be sorely missed. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on November 7, 2010, 8:29 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
3 Didn't care for any of the films, but I thought the Green's Ice Cream comercials he did were forkin' hilarious; and that Saturday morning kid's tv show of his had some inspiredly lunatic moments. -- Submitted By: (elainewood) on September 16, 2010, 4:01 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
4 Friedrich, I can't say I loved (or even liked) the movies but you might want to tell your Shakespearean friend that the late Jim Varney was ALSO a Shakespearean performer before he did this series and was far deeper than the series let on. -- Submitted By: (Pelirojo) on September 15, 2010, 5:35 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
