Music Groups - Moody Blues, The

The true "Kings of Classic Rock", this English band got its start in the early 60's as an R&B act. In 1966, after some personnel changes, they switched gears to a more artsy/hippy/progressive sound and VOILA....massive success. They sold out stadiums everywhere, traveled in lear jets and hung out with Timothy Leary. To date, these truly talented gentlemen are still touring 10 months out of the year and entertaining crowds of all ages. They even recently scored a VISA commercial with the ever-popular "Tuesday Afternoon" playing in the background.

1 Good points, though anyway, with Chicago being in the Hall of Fame now, the Moodies still might be inducted and put in there still. -- Submitted By: (PokeyJHorse) on May 8, 2016, 10:20 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
2 If fans had a say about who gets inducted into the rock hall of fame, they would have been inducted in their first year of eligibility, yet the powers that be continue to snub them. Overall, they never boned but they did have their share of missteps, including "Sitting at the Wheel" which sounds almost like "Running on Empty." -- Submitted By: (JayD) on October 30, 2012, 5:33 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
3 If I hear "Tuesday Afternoon" in that one ad with the aquarium one more time... -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on July 13, 2009, 4:15 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
4 The retiring of flautist Ray Thomas in 2003 was a potentially fish-boning moment for me personally; the thought of never again hearing "Legend of a Mind" and that kick-ass flute solo of his again in concert was sad, but they still put on an excellent show. -- Submitted By: (Stephanie) on July 9, 2009, 11:46 am - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
