Sometimes I like to sit down and hate watch this show. It was always rather stupid. I don't blame the actress who played Mary for wanting to leave. As far as the Ruthie goes, I think TV shows tend to really try and keep the youngest kid as young as possible well beyond what they should. I think at some point it was obvious that Ruthie was aging, yet she kept getting immature little kid dialog. I think that's why she comes across as irritating a lot of the time. -- Submitted By: (J29G) on September 10, 2015, 7:52 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
This show didn't bone the fish... far from it... rather, it's just one big block of stinky cheese, as in this show is so friggin' cheesy and stupid. -- Submitted By: (PYLrulz) on January 5, 2014, 2:46 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Any show that is stereotypically portrays religious people and religion is an automatic bone. No questions asked. I hope this family likes Satan. -- Submitted By: (ProfessorBone) on November 3, 2013, 8:32 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
As a practicing Christian, I can say that this show blatantly distorted Christianity! Rev. Camden lived way too lavishly for a minister and did not have any humble bone in his body. He did not even act like a practicing Christian, much less a pastor. I am convinced that he gathered all the tithes from the offering plate and used them for his own personal benefit. All Rev. Simpleton ever did was meddle in other people's lives and make babies. In a nutshell, it was the biggest dead horse ever beaten! -- Submitted By: () on September 8, 2013, 2:46 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
i might've given this show a chance..but i couldn't make it past the cheesy theme song intro -- Submitted By: (stryker73) on October 10, 2012, 11:54 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Season 6 should have been the last season. It boned when the main characters started leaving and was rarely (if ever) seen again. New irrelevant characters were brought into take their place. It would have been better if it was still only about the Camdens, but it became a show mainly about the new characters instead. -- Submitted By: () on February 19, 2012, 10:36 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
It boned day one, I only watch this when there is nothing on back then. It's too melodramaic, I mean the parents and his siblings overreacted when Matt smoking weed, they treated them like he killed somebody. -- Submitted By: (SSM) on January 9, 2011, 9:41 am - (3 votes) - Login to Vote
In the very episodes I forced myself to watch in the early years, I always hated the little girl who always seemed exasperated and to roll her eyes at every situation her parents had to converse with her (as a parent, I'm well aware of this attidute, but it usually doesn' begin until the terrible teens). This became such a seething hatred that whenever the words "Seventh" or "Heaven" are mentioned in the same sentence, I am compelled to pull out a fillet knive and begin whittling on a piece of wood like a demented, toothless extra from the film "Deliverence." But maybe that's just me. -- Submitted By: (GregEichelberger) on July 16, 2009, 10:37 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
