TV Shows - Robot Chicken

Robot Chicken is an Emmy Award-winning American stop motion animated television series created and executive produced by Seth Green and Matthew Senreich. They are also on the writing team, and have directed some episodes. Green provides many voices for the show. The program is a sketch comedy that parodies a number of pop culture conventions using stop motion animation of toys, action figures, dolls, and claymation, a clone of Action League Now!, (usually for special effects) and various other objects, such as tongue depressors and The Game of Life pegs. The show's name was inspired by a dish on the menu at a West Hollywood Chinese restaurant, Kung Pao Bistro, where Green and Senreich had dined, although the series originally was intended to be titled "Junk in the Trunk".

Robot Chicken is awesome. My favorite skit was the one where Parappa The Rapper has to rap his way out of a jail sentence. -- Submitted By: (TomPettyFan) on July 3, 2018, 12:29 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Pure trash. The show goes so far to offend at times that it just ends up falling flat on it's ass ("Darkest Sketch Ever", yeah right. Whatever you say, guys). The voice acting is irritating and obnoxious, as are the various gags. I usually cannot stand excessive pop culture references and that is all this is really. No, I do not see what's so god damn hilarious about a "You Got Served" parody involving Voltron, nor do I see the humor in these pointless and excruciating Star Wars tributes. I was really exicted about the series though. I was a fan of Twisted Toyfare Theater and since three of the guys involved with it were going to be working on the show, I couldn't see how it could go wrong. Seth Green is probably the one to blame. The dude just isn't funny. If he wasn't one of the co-creators, maybe it could have turned out better. I really don't get the appeal. There are plently of dumb shows out there that I like, but Robot Chicken is simply too miserable to sit through. -- Submitted By: (LeeHarveysGrave) on March 15, 2011, 2:02 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
The two best Star Wars bits they ever did was one where Palpatine is in his office and Vader calls him on his cell phone to let him know that the Death Star was just blown up. The Other one was where they showed what happened in that 'dinner' that Han, Leia and Chewbacca had with Vader on Bespin. I just about came unglued watching those. -- Submitted By: (Friedrich_Feuerstein) on September 15, 2010, 9:41 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
I enjoy Robot Chicken although it seems to overdo it with the Star Wars stuff from time to time. So far, it hasn't boned, and I hope it doesn't anytime soon. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on September 15, 2010, 12:37 am - (2 votes) - Login to Vote
Stupid, immature, unsubtle, random. And funny as all hell. -- Submitted By: (johnnydough) on May 6, 2010, 4:41 am - (2 votes) - Login to Vote

Call me immature, but I have at least one 'laugh-out-loud' moment with every episode. -- Submitted By: (Friedrich_Feuerstein) on January 15, 2010, 11:57 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
One of the very few things on Adult Swim worth watching. Brilliant show. -- Submitted By: (PYLrulz) on December 4, 2009, 1:27 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Hilarious show. It's essentially Kablam and sketch comedy. And it's not like SNL where they have a joke and it becomes a five-minute sketch where the punchline is repeatedly jammed down our throats and then the ending is flimsy and awkward. Robot Chicken delivers a sight gag, or a single line of dialogue, with each vignette getting barely enough time to register in our brains. The longer sketches are good too, often parodies or combined parodies, skewering two different pop culture references simultaneously. I think there's some awkward misses and the show is definitely not appealing to everyone but I find it fresh and funny. -- Submitted By: (SamuraiPanda201) on July 21, 2009, 12:57 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote

This show rocks?! No, it's not that good! Day one. Like The Powerpuff Girls, this is another show that nobody worked very hard on. -- Submitted By: (Marcus) on June 9, 2009, 3:42 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
