This may seem odd, but I wish they'd shown more of the teachers, school staff and principal in this series than just the virtual cameos- mainly because the performers playing them had been sitcom icons and MUCH funnier and more interesting than the alleged 'teens' who were supposed to be the stars. Oh, and there are very few movies in which singing+dancing helps, IMO. -- Submitted By: (Pelirojo) on September 4, 2011, 12:01 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
JayD, I disagree. I think Grease is best viewed, in it's entirety, by no body. I don't like musicals, so it would be tough for me to watch any of those types of movies. -- Submitted By: (Jp) on September 2, 2011, 5:32 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Grease is best viewed in its entirety and the DVD is a must have. This movie comes on TV a lot, but it gets severely edited, even leaving out a couple of songs. And it's easy to see why Grease 2 flopped; bad songs, an unknown cast, and none of the charm of the original. -- Submitted By: (JayD) on September 1, 2011, 10:56 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Grease was another one that did not require any sequel whatsoever. As always, Hollywood is desperate for a few extra bucks, so they do a sequel of Grease and fail to see that sequels are rarely (if ever) just as successful as the first one. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on January 12, 2011, 9:47 am - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
Yes, the sequel did stink (did not follow/resemble the first movie in any way), but "Grease," overall, is such a great musical! Much, much better than those stupid HSM movies, in my opinion! -- Submitted By: (SVN) on February 5, 2010, 8:26 am - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
When making a sequel, if you cannot get the original cast, don't make said sequel. -- Submitted By: (PYLrulz) on December 8, 2009, 3:12 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
