1 In the later 70s episodes, the dancers start to digress. You can't blame disco music but when it came to the Soul Train line, there were more women doing a simple two-step instead of really moving. Anyway, I think when Louis Carr joined in the early 80s, it went further down. To his credit, I think MJ (RIP) stole that back kick-step he liked to do but otherwise, all this guy did was pose. There was even an episode where him and Crystal did some wave and hide thing in the ST line. What an insult to tradition! Had that been my show, I would have kicked them off permanently but he hung around until the 21st Century episodes.SAD. -- Submitted By: (jwswindell) on March 15, 2013, 9:29 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote

3 I used to LOVE 'Soul Train.' My best memory of it was way back in the early 70's when the song 'Rock The Boat' by Hues Corporation came out. They did a spot as guest performers and did their hit song wearing white suits sitting in a life boat. -- Submitted By: (Friedrich_Feuerstein) on February 4, 2010, 4:19 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
