Parker, I don't think Austin Powers is a movie one should take real seriously. If that was the case in a James Bond film, yes, please rip it to shreds, but it's an Austin Powers film. I can easily look past that. -- Submitted By: (PYLrulz) on February 1, 2014, 6:55 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
It boned at the very beginning of the 2nd movie when Vanessa / Elizabeth Hurley was suddenly revealed to be a "fem bot". How was that even possible when Austin supposedly worked with her mother before he was frozen? Her mother didn't know her "daughter" was a fem bot? She didn't recall not having given birth to her? What a cop out! Then they bring back Number 2 / Robert Wagner after we saw him burned to death in the 1st film. How did he survive unscathed, and why did Dr. Evil take him back? Just bizarre discontinuity. -- Submitted By: (ParkerTillman) on July 26, 2012, 11:54 am - (2 votes) - Login to Vote

Any movie that begins with a urination or other secretion of bodily fluids being shown is definitely sending a message to the viewers -- Submitted By: (lrbloom) on November 28, 2010, 2:26 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Mike Meyers is by all accounts a very arrogant and self-obsessed guy. I think that might have been the sequels' downfall-- Mike wanted to play all the roles. Austin Powers and Dr. Evil were good characters, but Fat Bastard and Goldmember were just stupid. Mike Meyers in a fat suit with a Scottish accent? That's not funny, it's just stupid. Same goes for Goldmember, what a stupid character. Also, this is the one time a prequel would have been a better idea than a sequel. Instead we got nonsense with time travel and Austin's wife being a robot. -- Submitted By: (Travoltron) on July 22, 2010, 1:58 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Want to watch Goldmember without the movie itself? Here's how! Get two tvs and two vcr/dvd players. In tv 1 put International Man of Mystery. In tv 2 put The Spy Who Shagged Me. Make sure the tvs are side by side. Watch both movies at the same time and Voila! you are pretty much watching Goldmember. Goldmember is just a cheap rehash of the first two movies and it just felt forced. -- Submitted By: (Acobjum) on December 18, 2009, 9:15 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
The 1st one was great. The 2nd one was pretty good. The 3rd one just seemed forced, and slapped together. -- Submitted By: (PYLrulz) on December 15, 2009, 12:34 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
The first movie was genius; anything afterwards was just plain stupid. -- Submitted By: (SVN) on April 17, 2009, 8:56 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
The first film had a few funny phrases and scenes, and then as more came out- you just realized how un-funny Mike Myers actually was, one joke, rinse and repeat, and then be told it is funny again and again. Once the "Love Guru" came out, I think Austin Powers #1 looked even more like a complete fluke that it was tolerable. -- Submitted By: (Chubby Rain) on April 15, 2009, 8:39 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
