TV Shows - Sabrina the Teenage Witch

Melissa Joan Hart's starring vehicle began with her discovering she was a witch on her 16th birthday. She lived with and learned from her aunts Hilda and Zelda and her talking cat, Salem, while trying to navigate the pitfalls of being a witch - and a high school student.

The problem with shows involving kids is that the kids grow up and the show doesn't easily transition into their adult years. -- Submitted By: (HailHail) on April 2, 2012, 3:54 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote

i love any and everything to do with melissa joan hart...it took me awhile to get used to the new characters when she left for college but u gotta love soleil moon frye and that thin redhead from clueless -- Submitted By: (LauDor08) on January 2, 2011, 2:32 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Is there some reason for the bashing of MJH that I'm not aware of? I mean she's not a toothpick or a supermodel but she seems to draw a lot of negative comments about her appearance while actors from similar youth shows before and since get a pass. Was she worse looking than Hillary Duff or Miley Cyrus or Britney Spears' sister for instance? The first year had the best sidekick. Casting her bratty sister as a cousin in an obvious backdoor pilot attempt was lame. The Salem puppet was getting kind of threadbare. Still, it was mostly entertaining up through the magazine(?) workplace year. Do I remember George Wendt as an ersatz Lou Grant? -- Submitted By: (baldrick) on May 20, 2010, 9:00 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Lojo, I never watched that show for the acting :-) -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on March 6, 2010, 6:16 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
My goodness, Aunt Zelda may have been "hot" but she couldn't act her way out of a paper witch hat. -- Submitted By: (lojo) on March 5, 2010, 9:44 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
I never got why this show was so successfull...it was more or less a "hipper" revamp of "Out of this world". Who likes the eat the same meal twice? -- Submitted By: (Swanpride) on September 5, 2009, 2:45 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
I thought it was a bit lame and wouldn't be surprised if it turned out the laugh-track audience only was there because they'd run out of seats at the "Fat Albert" and "Scooby Doo" studios! -- Submitted By: (Pelirojo) on July 1, 2009, 1:54 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
I agree with DolFan that while it's not necessarily a BTF moment, it doesn't speak all that well for the series when one of the aunts is hotter than the hyped-up marquee teenage star. I guess that makes STTW a good show for MILF fans - or, in this case, AILF (or WILF) fans! -- Submitted By: (Mythigator) on July 1, 2009, 6:52 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Not sure if this is a reason for boning the fish but I thought aunt Zelda was hotter than Sabrina and I don't think I was supposed to think that. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on June 9, 2009, 11:18 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
