Very good show! It had a lot of obvious sitcom gags but it also had surprisingly touching story lines. Erik MacArthur's character was a popular kid but chose to bond with the misfits. They all protected each other, in between the inevitable fights and pranks. The result was a look at realistic kids acting in realistic and believable ways. It was far superior to the crap that Nick and Disney put on the air today. -- Submitted By: (martymarty) on November 12, 2014, 8:07 am - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
Never boned. It's just one of the reasons why I loved early 90s so much. -- Submitted By: (tvwatcher7) on September 13, 2014, 10:02 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
Graet show about realistic kids, although it may have semi-boned when Eric McArthur left the show. I was his age when the show was first on and I thought he was really cute, in fact I had a crush on him. -- Submitted By: (jmac9909) on November 7, 2013, 7:13 am - (2 votes) - Login to Vote
@VeritechRyan: I totally agree with you! I was at a friends house the other day and she was watching iCarly (a grown woman watching that...pshh) and I was offended by the garbage they have today! Salute You Shorts was, though dated, a great show that was actually FUNNY. I could probably watch it today and still laugh. -- Submitted By: (octogirlpretty) on October 19, 2010, 11:36 am - (3 votes) - Login to Vote
show was so good, and you watch that then look at the shows Nick cranks out now and you wonder what went wrong -- Submitted By: (VeritechRyan) on October 18, 2010, 11:34 pm - (3 votes) - Login to Vote
Salute Your Shorts is something that deserves a DVD release, no doubt about it. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on July 12, 2010, 8:43 pm - (4 votes) - Login to Vote
LOVED IT INGENIOUS. The characters were real kids acting like real kids. There was never a moment where I questioned the reality of it all. I feel like I was there with them the whole time. Not like today where all the teen shows are silly overblown hyperactive caricatures of what they think kids are suppose to act like. -- Submitted By: (Yusiri86) on July 23, 2009, 4:30 pm - (3 votes) - Login to Vote
