Actually, they made two albums with the original lineup and both were quite good. Then after an 8 year "hiatus", they came out with "3rd Stage", with only Tom Sholz and Brad Delp remaining from the original lineup. Barry Goudreau, Sib Hashian and Fran Sheehan were toast by this time. The problem is the 3rd Stage album itself was pretty good, so even though you have the classic elements of a boning (60% of the original band not appearing), they didn't truly bone until their voice, Brad Delp, was cut loose. That was on the "Walk On" album. You can't make the excuse that Brad was dead. He wasn't then. His suicide was a more recent, and tragic, event. -- Submitted By: (ParkerTillman) on July 19, 2012, 4:46 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
Kingbk is right, after their first album Boston BTF. Amanda was just another 80s love ballad piece of garbage. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on October 25, 2011, 7:24 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
I like Boston and have always dug their music. My biggest problem with them is that they are the most overplayed artist on classic rock radio. This is no fault to them, but it has made me tire of some of their songs. Also, instead of being a one hit wonder, I like to think of them as a one album wonder. Their other albums are not even close in quality or popularity to their famous debut. It's a blessing and a curse. I think this band could have had a bigger impact in the 80s than they did, but they never seemed to have that, outside of Amanda. I think I can safely say they have boned now. Boston isn't Boston without Brad Delp. Tom Scholz might be the brains behind the operation, but Delp was the soul. -- Submitted By: (kingbk) on October 25, 2011, 4:35 pm - (3 votes) - Login to Vote
shanequia, have you ever heard this band before. They have many classic hit songs. They are a 70s rock band, if you don't care for that style of music so be it, but before making a judgment, why not check them out on you tube. Listen to More than a feeling or Amanda, then state your case for saying that the band sucks. Will you do that please? I think they never boned. -- Submitted By: (fletch000) on February 11, 2010, 10:20 pm - (2 votes) - Login to Vote

These guys put out fantastic music in their day but when your lead singer dies it's probably time to hang it up. Instead, these guys got a guy from Home Depot to be the new lead singer because he sang Boston songs on his myspace page. I heard they renamed one of their classic songs from Smokin' to Fishin' -- Submitted By: (JoeBagODonuts) on July 15, 2009, 9:17 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
