Bettman has got to go or else expect to see a lockout every eight years or so. -- Submitted By: (JayD) on October 5, 2012, 1:00 am - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
The Deputy Commissioner, Bill Daly, put it best about the upcoming lockout, basically saying the owners AND the players are idiots. I don't forsee a year long lockout like last time, but I say it's time Gary Bettman gets tossed on his ass, and player sports unions be declared illegal or something. -- Submitted By: (PYLrulz) on September 14, 2012, 1:09 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Probably. I live in Pennsylvania, and the Flyers and Penguins are huge around here. Even living in Lancaster, there is a hugely popular minor league team up the road (Hershey Bears). Guess the further south you are, or if you are not in one of those lucky southern/western cities that actually cares about their hockey, and has a team that puts out a winning product (like San Jose or Dallas), the less that is cared about hockey -- Submitted By: (PYLrulz) on January 4, 2010, 6:44 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Maybe I live in the wrong part of the country, but it seems like nobody I know actually follows hockey. You never hear people going to the sports bar to watch hockey or having a Stanley Cup party. Like I said, maybe I'm just in the wrong part of the country. -- Submitted By: (MCS) on December 7, 2009, 7:12 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
Right now, the Lockout, but the lockout has also proved beneficial in ways, with new rule changes and such. If a few more things happen, like the league getting on ESPN, or more consistency in suspensions, I think quite possibly, the NHL can be "Unboned" -- Submitted By: (PYLrulz) on December 3, 2009, 5:33 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
