Celebrities - Brett Favre

Brett Lorenzo Favre (born October 10, 1969, in Gulfport, Mississippi) is a retired American football quarterback of the National Football League (NFL). He was the starting quarterback for the Green Bay Packers between the 1992 and 2007 NFL seasons and the New York Jets in 2008. Favre started at the quarterback position for The University of Southern Mississippi for four years before being selected in the second round of the 1991 NFL Draft by the Atlanta Falcons (33rd overall). After one season with the Falcons, Favre was traded to the Green Bay Packers on February 10, 1992, for the 19th pick in the 1992 NFL Draft. He became the Packers' starting quarterback in the fourth game of the 1992 NFL season, starting every game from then until his retirement in 2008. In 2008, Favre came out of retirement, was traded to the New York Jets, and continued his consecutive start streak. On February 11, 2009, Favre told the New York Jets that he is retiring for good.

Brett Favre might want to talk to Tiger Woods about what NOT to do if the allegations of infidelity come out against him. Looks like this "good guy" is another arrogant, waffling egomanic celebrity. -- Submitted By: (kingbk) on October 11, 2010, 11:27 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Burmy, there is letting a legend going out on his terms, and then there is abusing that privilege. Farve has long crossed that line. Ted Thompson handled that as best as he could, and really, I think there would of been nothing else that could be done without pissing someone off. -- Submitted By: (PYLrulz) on April 16, 2010, 12:26 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Well, Burmy, I'm not a Favre hater, I'm just tired of his waffling. Other than that, he seems to be a good guy. -- Submitted By: (ScottyB) on November 3, 2009, 5:56 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Hey Brett-haters, you saw how he threw for 4 touchdowns and no INTs again, SWEEPING his former team? I'm a Packer fan for life, but I'm LIVID at how Ted Thompson handled the scenario-hopefully us fans will see the truth and call for Ted's firing! -- Submitted By: (Burmy) on November 3, 2009, 12:57 am - (-1 votes) - Login to Vote
Undefeated? Not anymore, they lost to Pittsburgh earlier today. That Sears Blue Appliance Team commercial where the salesman basically called Favre a waffle who can't make up his own mind made me fall off my sofa in laughter. -- Submitted By: (ScottyB) on October 25, 2009, 9:23 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
NEVER BONED. Did you see his REGULAR SEASON games as a Viking? They're UNDEFEATED, including a HUGE win over the Packers (Aaron Rodgers just pales in comparison) -- Submitted By: (Burmy) on October 25, 2009, 10:12 am - (-2 votes) - Login to Vote
As those Packer fans now like to say, "We'll never forget you, Brent". Ha! Did any of you guys catch his first preseason game as a Viking? He was AWFUL! -- Submitted By: (ScottyB) on August 23, 2009, 12:06 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Brett Favre is NOT a Day 1 BTF. He had his heyday and I had a lot of respect for him even when he was wiping up the field with my Broncos! :-) But this revolving-door retiirement/unretirement thing is ridiculous. First unretirement = boning the fish; second unretirement = violating the little mermaid. Enough already! -- Submitted By: (Mythigator) on August 23, 2009, 11:07 am - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
Once again, I agree with Dolfin316. Brett Favre is a joke. JoeBagODonuts who we all suspect is SmartBoy from the old site, will also go berserk if you comment on WalMart or Dawn Lyn (Who is listed under several shows under Best Of The Best)Why does JoeBagOWind care if others think someone sucked?. Isn't this a website to voice your opinion? -- Submitted By: (AlanJames) on August 22, 2009, 9:53 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
I told you all, this d-bag is going to keep playing until he's 50, and team after team is going to be dumb enough to keep signing him! And ESPN is going to keep being unwatchable by drooling all over him, etc. Favre's beard is as gray as my dad's and my dad is 63! -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on August 19, 2009, 6:29 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
He's coming back.......AGAIN. YEEEAARRRRGGHHH!!!!!! Will this never end? MAKE A CHOICE AND STICK TO IT ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -- Submitted By: (ScottyB) on August 19, 2009, 6:23 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
I just have to laugh when I see that most people have voted that Brett sucked from the start. Really? He is one of the greatest football players of all time and in the very top tier of all quarterbacks to EVER play the game....and he sucked from the start. Go read his stats, look at his 3 consecutive pro bowl starts, look at his superbowl ring...and he sucked from the start? Really? I would guess everyone is punishing him for his annual will he play, won't he play ritual that he had in Green Bay which was followed by the will he retire will he stay retired ritual. If ANYONE has earned the right to do this it's Brett Favre. I like his quote on his latest come back with Minnesota which was something to the effect of "If you don't like it, don't watch it. It's career and my legacy." Brett Favre is everything that's right about the NFL and professional sports in general. He's an extremely talented competitor who loves the game and doesn't get caught up in all the off the field antics that so many other do. You go Brett! -- Submitted By: (JoeBagODonuts) on August 19, 2009, 6:09 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
I have to agree with Dollfan316, Brett Favre is the most overrated pro athelete ever. He Sucked. -- Submitted By: (AlanJames) on August 5, 2009, 9:47 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote

And now he's staying retired. For now, anyway........ -- Submitted By: (ScottyB) on July 30, 2009, 6:12 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Well at least all the "steroid abusing, wife beating, law breaking, cry babies" don't pretend to be anything other than what they really are. Favre gives us this poor put upon victim act every single offseason when HE'S the one jerking US and other teams around! What, am I supposed to believe he needs the money? HA!!! I'm HAPPY to leave Favre alone--I'd be happy to never hear from him again--but he's got to leave ME alone first!!! Bretney Favre=the most overrated pro athlete ever. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on July 19, 2009, 10:28 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Why all the Brett Favre hating? Brett Favre is one of the greatest professional football players ever. If he wants to retire, then unretire, then retire, then unretire, it's his business. He's earned that right. The only we know for sure is that five years after he retires and doesn't unretire we'll see him in Canton. If you want to dump on anyone there are plenty of steroid abusing, wife beating, law breaking, cry baby professional athletes to choose from. Leave Brett alone. -- Submitted By: (JoeBagODonuts) on July 19, 2009, 6:22 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
DOWN WITH FAVRE FOREVER!!! JUST GO AWAY!!! -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on July 12, 2009, 8:34 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
As a lifelong Packers fan and a former Favre apologist, this latest move to the Vikings has me finally saying, "Get over yourself you f-ing Prima Donna" -- Submitted By: (BrewMaster) on July 11, 2009, 10:34 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Yeah right!!! He's making yet another lame comeback with the Vikings this time like he originally wanted to do last year. Better put off that induction until at least 2020 the way he's hanging on. Seriously, I wouldn't be shocked in the least if Bretney didn't insist on playing until age 50. I'd be shocked if he didn't. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on June 11, 2009, 4:34 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
