Twitter seems to be another dopey outlet for attention starved dopes that want to be heard, but have nothing to say. Is that 144 characters? -- Submitted By: (Chubby Rain) on August 12, 2012, 8:53 am - (2 votes)

If that happens it'll only be because they were somehow replaced by something even worse :-( -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on August 6, 2012, 2:57 pm - (0 votes)

The London Olympic Games have shown us why Twitter has very few pros and very many cons. Athletes have been kicked off teams, grilled by the media, looked immature, and have just come across as narcissistic jerks due to this evil tool. I've stayed away from Twitter this far and have zero interest in exploring it now. -- Submitted By: (kingbk) on July 31, 2012, 1:42 am - (2 votes)

The only pro I can think of when it comes to Twitter: messages can be used as evidence against people. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on August 11, 2011, 2:28 pm - (3 votes)

I don't use Facebook or Twitter either, and don't intend to use either of 'em. I don't care what I'm passing up or missing, it's not worth it. -- Submitted By: (BigAl) on August 10, 2011, 10:09 am - (0 votes)

I agree with you again lrbloom. Twitter and Facebook have become such a disease, figuratively speaking. I don't have either one. I used have a Myspace but it started getting lame several years ago. -- Submitted By: (Jp) on August 9, 2011, 3:07 pm - (0 votes)

Someone talked me into getting an account a couple of years ago. I posted maybe three tweets in the first couple of days - of a confused nature since I wasn't really sure what I was doing or who I was doing it for - and in the next few months I received numerous email alerts from Twitter telling me of all the followers I was accumulating. The eventual number was over a hundred, despite the fact that I had only sent those three awkward tweets and then was silent. Only a few of those hundred-plus followers were people I knew; the rest were complete strangers (and obviously people who didn't have lives of their own and were probably following thousands of folks they didn't know). I'm not sure if my account is still active; if it is, maybe I should start posting a bunch of nonsensical tweets just to see what happens. (Anyone dumb enough to want to follow me deserves to be subjected to some head games.) -- Submitted By: (Soggy9000) on May 13, 2011, 4:00 am - (0 votes)

Off-Topic about Twitter, but I found an image on the internet filled with Facebook comments talking about the earthquake and tsunami in Japan, and how it's "karma for Pearl Harbor."
Here's the link (WARNING: click on your own risk, as you might lose faith in humanity):

Charlie Sheen and that Family guy writer just proved what should've been obvious to everyone all along, that Twitter is merely just another public way for idiots to express themselves and shouldn't be taken seriously or viewed as anything other than that. -- Submitted By: (DolFan316) on March 14, 2011, 6:58 pm - (1 votes)

Now 50 Cent and Gilbert Gottfried were caught tweeting similar "jokes" as Alec Sulkin regarding the Japan quake. Gottfried got fired from AFLAC for it. -- Submitted By: (Travoltron) on March 14, 2011, 6:47 pm - (1 votes)

I didn't know twitter existed back then in 2006, lol. Nobody even uses it that much until celebs like Ashton Kutcher and Lindsay Lohan discovered it and it become popular, now everyone uses that crap. -- Submitted By: (SSM) on January 14, 2011, 10:05 pm - (0 votes)
