1 They boned when Steve Walsh was replaced by John Elefante, and they started doing dreck like "Play The Game Tonight". Walsh eventually returned, but by that time the damage was done. Violinist Robbie Steinhardt, a big part of Kansas' distinctive sound, had already left as well. -- Submitted By: (ParkerTillman) on July 24, 2012, 10:15 am - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
2 America's only major stab at art/progressive rock, Kansas in the late 70s had a great run of music. Carry on Wayward Son and Dust in the Wind are probably two of the greatest songs ever recorded, regardless of genre. Religion ruined this band. I don't have a problem with people having beliefs or faith, but I have a problem when they start rubbing it in everyone's face and become fanatical, completely changing their personality in the process. That's what happened with both Kerry Livgren and Dave Hope. This band was at its best when Livgren and Steve Walsh were in sync. When Walsh didn't agree with Livgren's changed lifestyle, this band was toast. However, for about 4-5 years, they were one of the best bands out there. -- Submitted By: (kingbk) on October 19, 2011, 2:15 pm - (2 votes) - Login to Vote
3 'Dust in the Wind'. Has there ever been a song out there that proves more true to more folks the older we get? -- Submitted By: (Pelirojo) on June 30, 2009, 11:40 am - (2 votes) - Login to Vote
