Fox News Comments (You must Login to Comment)

I admit I don't watch it (or TV in general) all that much. Usually the only time I watch cable news is when something big goes down (school shooting, terrorist attack) and they seem OK. Too much unverified hearsay gets reported, but all the stations seem to be guilty of that these days. -- Submitted By: (Travoltron) on August 27, 2013, 11:23 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Yes. Just as the constant Bush-bashing got tiresome during his term, so too does the constant Obama-bashing. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on August 26, 2013, 6:27 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
Travoltron, Fox News is on out where I work at sometimes in the break rooms, and it seems every time I see it on, it's always "Obama did this", and "Obama did that", and "Obama ran over my mother's cat", and "Obama took candy from a kid". I don't like Obama, never will, but geez, at some point, you just gotta cut with the Obama slams. Especially when they slam Obama, but if Bush, or any other Republican does the same thing, it's either the greatest thing in the world, or they never give it the time or day -- Submitted By: (PYLrulz) on August 25, 2013, 8:34 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
I think the reason the most obnoxious are the most popular is because people prefer to be entertained, rather than performed. Think about it: if one doesn't agree with a blowhard personality's opinion, they laugh at how stupid said personality is. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on August 25, 2013, 7:22 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Their actual news coverage seems OK, by today's standards at least. But I skip the blowhard commentators like Bill O. or Geraldo. When they get a diverse panel of guests it can be good. But why is it the most popular political commentators, both conservative and liberal, are always the ones that are the most extreme, loud, belligerent, and stupid? There are some really smart people out there who aren't getting a voice. -- Submitted By: (Travoltron) on August 23, 2013, 7:16 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
I have to wonder sometimes if Fox News is really a bunch of left wingers masquerading as right wingers just to make the right look so much worse, but somehow, in some crazy way, it doesn't work like that. -- Submitted By: (PYLrulz) on August 23, 2013, 3:52 pm - (-1 votes) - Login to Vote
FOX News was never about making actual news. It was always about fabricating and propagandizing the news force fed on to their viewers. It was about the ratings, always has been and always will be. Hell, they're the guys responsible for the whole "EXTREME COP CHASES!" segment. Is there anybody who Bill O'Reilly has ever owned in a debate? It just seems anyone he criticizes, someone will step up and be on his show. And totally destroy his point of view. I guess to him if it means getting a good paycheck out of it and some sort of level of ratings, all is in good fun in his demented mind. Same with Hannity. Same with Beck. All bigots who just love a good chain of shout matches and arguments to defend their right-wing bigotry. All they've got in their arsenal is to insult and berate the other person's belief or opinions whenever they stand up to these idiots. That's what FOX News is all about. They're also the source of telling people when to be afraid and how to be fearful by exaggerating any possible source of information that is flown by them. SARS? Swine Flu? those are prime examples. Oh god, after 9/11 happened, they didn't hesitate to fabricate that too! 9/11 was the best thing ever to happen for them then. Because they willingly supported every dumb decision our government was doing at that time and portraying it like it was smart bold moves. Just, ugh... -- Submitted By: (Infyrin) on August 22, 2013, 2:11 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
I wonder if someone could comment as to the nature of Fox News's news reports and not Fox's pundents. As far as the pundents go I've never seen any discussions that were fair and balanced. The biggest thing I slam fox for is the obnoxious behavior of people like O'Reilly, Hannity, and Beck. Interestingly Keith Olberman has left (been fired from?) MSNBC and is now with Current TV. Perhaps this means that MSNBC has cleaned up a bit and is less obnoxious than Fox? I'd like to hear your thoughts. -- Submitted By: (wilddrawfour) on August 23, 2011, 11:46 am - (-2 votes) - Login to Vote
SO, Cartooner are you a "bronie"? I'm screwing with ya, but I'm pretty sure they were joking about terrorism being a hobby. They even stated it in a joking fashion. I don't know who the woman is on that panel but she was freaking hot. -- Submitted By: (Jp) on August 2, 2011, 12:36 am - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
I saw one clip where they basically stated terrorism to be a hooby. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fi27530dDCc It is said at around the 1:05 mark. -- Submitted By: (cartooner) on August 1, 2011, 6:32 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Both sides have their share of obnoxious representatives. Both sides are biased. But just as MSNBC has a right to their liberal slant, Fox News has a right to their conservative slant. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on December 18, 2009, 9:21 am - (2 votes) - Login to Vote
OK it's time for me to weigh in on this one since well over 300 people say FOX sucked from the start. Let's please, please, not make this another political web site. Aren't there enough out there already? Everyone can agree that FOX leans to the right while MSNBC is probably it's polar opposite to the left. Some shows on FOX such as Glenn Beck lean further to the right than others while some shows on MSNBC lean further left such as Countdown with Keith Olbermann. I myself have given positive reviews to shows that lean strongly in both directions. Why? Because instead of looking at the shows through my own political views and beliefs I stick to the true intent of the Bone The Fish website and the criteria set forth. You don't have to agree with the views or the content of a show, you just need to recognize that they have not compromised what they stand for in an effort to gain ratings or avoid cancellation. I suggest to the editors of this page that a new category be added for the posters who bone the fish. If the editors notice anyone automatically slamming a television show, or person, or musical group, etc... because of their personal dislikes, with little or no justification, that poster should be added to the Posters Who Have Boned The Fish category. This would allow the other posters to then vote on whether they think the poster has boned or not. -- Submitted By: (JoeBagODonuts) on December 18, 2009, 12:09 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
I think how they tell me to think. Some day I hope the nurse changes my TV to CNN. -- Submitted By: (HaywoodYoudome) on November 7, 2009, 2:17 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Is it biased? Of course it is. But Fox News is merely a right-wing island in an endless left-wing sea. I think at least ONE news network should be allowed to represent the Righties. -- Submitted By: (ScottyB) on July 31, 2009, 10:23 pm - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
fox is fair and balanced. the other networks are so far left fox seems to be right of center. -- Submitted By: (vorenus) on July 29, 2009, 3:18 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
..because we all know that to be a credible journalist, you need to be a card carrying Marxist. -- Submitted By: (BrewMaster) on July 15, 2009, 12:02 pm - (2 votes) - Login to Vote
Fox is about as close to fair and balanced as a modern day cable news network can be. All Fox does is recognize the legitimacy of conservative opinion, and in so doing exposes the hate and bigotry of liberals. -- Submitted By: (BrianBuck) on June 17, 2009, 7:50 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
Sure, Fox has high ratings. So does American Idol. Garbage. -- Submitted By: (dirk713) on May 25, 2009, 1:16 pm - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
The people on Fox news are obnoxious? And I suppose the people on MSNBC aren't? If you want obnoxious, three words: Bill...freaking...Maher. Watch him, listen to him, and you'll see he takes the cake. Before you say I'm biased, no I'm not. He calls himself a libertarian. Also, it's good to hear that people pan MSNBC for being biased. Everything's balancing out. -- Submitted By: (Robert) on May 23, 2009, 8:59 am - (1 votes) - Login to Vote
People attack Fox news because the people on it are some of the most obnoxious out there, like Hannity and O'Reilly. -- Submitted By: (MCS) on May 23, 2009, 1:05 am - (0 votes) - Login to Vote
